Adoption update…

Posted by foreverhomepetrescue on September 20, 2008

Well, let’s see – since the last time we blogged about happy endings (Rayna and Vanna) there have been SEVERAL adoptions.

Aspen finally found her foreverhome after being in rescue for almost 2 years, Biscuit (our special needs seizure Chihuahua) finally found his home after over a year in rescue, Isabella (the Chocolate pit puppy that was tossed from a car window) found a home the first day we showed her at adoptions, an 8 week old Shepherd mix puppy was placed with a previous adopter, four kitties found homes including an adult b/w kitty that’s been with us for almost 2 years….. it’s been a good month!

The Chi pups are separated from mom now (7 weeks old on Sunday!) and they will be going to their new homes in a couple of weeks (LOTS of applications for them!) and hopefully mommy will find a home shortly too.

And, the topper, was our 45-minute foster dog – Miss Lucy. We were contacted by a family moving out of the country and needing to place their recently-from-shelter AmStaff puppy. We posted her on craiglist and an hour later had a fantastic application for her. We picked her up from the previous owners and delivered her directly to her new mommy and daddy… and it was love at first sight.

More updates soon!
